In 2010 Rutley Park had the opportunity to purchase Cobigan Velvet. Velvet is also by the amazing sire Valuta and out of a thoroughbred mare by the well-performed racing stallion Our Paddy Boy. She possessed the same wonderful qualities as half sister (same sire) Viveka and we could not pass up the opportunity. Velvet is probably one of the youngest Valuta mares in the country and we look forward to some lovely foals from her. Velvet possesses the wonderful Valuta temperament and has very quickly found a spot in our hearts. Having Velvet as a foundation mare for our stud provides us with the performance lines we consider important to our future progeny. Her temperament, gentleness, and friendliness are outstanding, all important qualities we want to see in our foals.
