News 2018

Our newest arrival

On Christmas evening (25/12/2018) our lovely mare Lindisfarne Luiza (Lucy) gave birth to a gorgeous little filly.  We were looking forward to the possibility of a filly from this mare and we were rewarded with a gorgeous little dark bay filly with 4 white socks and a star and a snip.  She has a beautiful face and we couldn’t be more pleased.

This filly is out of our Lutz mare Lindisfarne Luiza (Lucy) and by our own stallion Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy), who is climbing the eventing ranks with Will Enzinger.  This cross is all we were expecting bringing Lucy’s refinement and a small bit of thoroughbred to be mixed with Freddy’s superb nature and compact conformation.  We look forward to seeing her grow into a lovely Trakehner mare.

1 Star win at Avenel

The first weekend in November saw our beautiful Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy) complete his third one star start at Avenel horse trials. After leading in his dressage, he jumped a lovely cross country round. Followed by a super show jumping round to take out first place. Please see his winning show jumping video below with more videos to come.

We are very proud of his achievements this year and thank Will Enzinger immensly for his dedication to Freddy’s progress so far and look forward to his future.

First 1 star start!

During the start of September our beautiful Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy) completed his first 1 star with Will. Attached below is the video of his cross-country round thanks to RiderVideo.

Ballarat Horse Trials 2018

Will and Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy) competed at Ballarat Horse Trials this year in EA105.  They were leading the dressage on Saturday, followed by a clear show jumping round to be still sitting in first place.  On Sunday they jumped clear with just some time to add to their score, with a finish in 3rd place.  Everything is moving forward to plan and we look forward to Freddy’s first one-star start when the season starts again later in the year.  Below is the video of Freddy’s lovely dressage test and calm and clear show jumping round.

Wandin Win!

Over the weekend our lovely stallion Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy) competed in EA105 at Wandin International Horse Trials. Saturday saw our boy strong and focused on his dressage test. He maintained a calm and relaxed attitude throughout the warmup and this flowed through his dressage test, finishing with a very good score of 27.4. (Dressage video to come)

Day 2 brought new challenges for the final day of competition with high winds and inclement weather. This didn’t faze Freddy as he took it all in his stride and took on the cross-country course with ease and complete trust in his rider Will (Video below). Still sitting atop the leaderboard by a small margin, it all came down to the show jumping. We watched on with hearts racing as he popped over the jumps listening to Will’s guidance and completed the course with a clear round leaving him in first place (showjumping video to come).

Here at Rutley Park, we would like to say a huge thank you to Will Enzinger for looking after our boy, putting in all the training and effort to get him to this point and also thank you to rider video for capturing the whole cross-country for us, so we can watch our boy in action. We can’t wait to see what the future will bring for Freddy’s eventing career and we hope for good results at his next event.

A little bundle of joy is on its way……

Here at Rutley Park we are pleased to announce that we are starting the year off on a high with a positive 45-day pregnancy test with Lindisfarne Luiza (Lucy), our lovely Lutz mare to our stallion Dulwich Feuerstein (Freddy). Can’t wait to see what these two beautiful horses can produce!
